Reflective Writing

For this project, we had to make a lot of prototypes since we were using the process of Riso Printing. The colour for my self-portrait is inspired by the Indian flag whereas, Wenlan's, my partner, is inspired by the colours of the Chinese flag. This portrays our cultural differences.

We have even written our own names in our mother tongues to show the language differences. I have written my name in Hindi and she's written her name in Mandarin.

Further, we decided to name the piece "Bridging the Gap" because it was like we are two different individuals coming from two completely different backgrounds yet we share similar tastes in art.

Additionally, we have also made the digital prototype along with different layouts in the physical prototype.
